Utah's largest annual pop culture convention — and, by historic peak attendance, one of the largest comic cons in the United States. Celebrity guest panels, autograph signings, photo ops, exhibitor hall, artist alley, KidCon, gaming competitions, cosplay contests, and a film festival. 2026 is a milestone year: FanX is 'going to just max it out' with more celebrities and vendors than ever, because this will be the LAST YEAR of FanX at the Salt Palace in its current full form before 2027 demolition and renovation begins. Technology demand: registration badge printers, exhibitor interactive kiosks, gaming laptops for competition stations, LED poster booth accents, large-format monitors for celebrity panel Q&A screens.

RootsTech returns to the Salt Palace Convention Center for its 2027 edition, running March 4–6, 2027 in-person and online. Note: as of 2026, the Salt Palace is expected to begin demolition and renovation in 2027. RootsTech 2027 is confirmed at the Salt Palace but should be assumed to be among the final large events at the current Salt Palace facility. Technology orders for RootsTech 2027 should be placed early to account for any venue transition logistics.
